From a young age, it was evidently clear that fashion was going to be a pivotal part of my life [you should see my childhood photos!]. Over the course of my life, this journey has been shaped, formed and weaved in many directions. I have found that fashion can be all consuming if we allow it to be. It can steal our true identities, and force us to place our value in how others see us, how much we own, or how much we work. I have learned many things along my fashion journey that have truly shaped how I view fashion all of which have led me to now be speaking to you on this very platform! So today, I want to get a bit vulnerable with you by talking about what I have experienced while being a woman who loves fashion, and the how it’s changed my life.
Hello loves! You may be wondering, why did the site just forward to kaitness.com, and what is this about thriving with purpose? WELL, today I have a BIG announcement for you (note all the exclamation marks!)!!!! If you could not already tell, today is a big day for Madly Mignon, because it is the day that Madly Mignon retires and a new baby is BORN. It was 3.5 years ago that I was inspired to start a fashion and lifestyle blog as a hobby to truly bring light and inspiration into the dark areas of fashion. I have had SUCH a blast sharing my style and passions with you all these last 3.5 years. It has been truly a joy, and boy have I learned a LOT.
Do you ever find that you are always making others a priority over yourself? I have recently been listening to the amazing new podcast series called Thriving Beyond Belief, hosted by Cheryl Scruggs [she is SUCH a sweet woman]. In listening to Cheryl’s amazing podcast series, I have heard her ask each guest thus far what ‘thriving’ means to them. In hearing this question over and over [and also the amazing answers of each woman interviewed] it has brought me to think about what thriving actually means to me.
My loves! I write this post to you as I sit and wait to board my train to none other than the amazing LONDON.
