TAKE HEART IN THE SEWING

Hello lovelies! How are you? I mean, how are you really, truly, deeply, to your CORE? Are you restful, or are you tired + weary? Today my prayer for each of you is to feel deeply INSPIRED to press forward into your God given goals + dreams.

Jumping off of my post last week on the beauty of quiet, I have felt in my spirit that so many of us are feeling weary + low. We feel like we are running around in quicksand; always exhausted but never actually going anywhere but back down. Why do we think that is? Why are we constantly finding ourselves in a state of exhaustion + brokenness, stagnant + confused?

I get it loves, I am here more times than I care to admit. Tired, broken down, burnt out completely + fully weary. It is true indeed, there are times of sewing + there are times of reaping. But one of the greatest things I have found is that the GREATEST growth, the most SIGNIFICANT breakthrough, + the most BEAUTIFUL blessings come from the seasons of sewing.

I recently listened to an amazing sermon at my church, Vintage LA, by the incredible Beth Redman. Beth said, “ In due time, you WILL reap a harvest. Our living God understands our wounds. He is the living water that can heal us, fill us, + love us through it all.” Preach it Beth! Indeed He is calling the broken + the tired + the weary to take heart in the difficult seasons, for He wants to make our paths new + straight.

“So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” Hebrews 12: 12-13

HOW AMAZING IS THIS?! Our God loves us enough to always provide guidance, love, + support, when we feel too lost to move forward. The problem is that sometimes our own plans can overtake His. We can sometimes put our trust is our own earthly plans over His. But has that ever really worked out of us? Maybe you even think what you are doing is the will of the Lord, but it is really a product of being weak + weary + falling into your own decisions. I say this not in anyyyy way to condemn you, but to simple challenge you to internally look at the source of your current plans.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9

All this to say loves, if you are in a season of sewing, TAKE HEART in this season, + surrender your plan. Indeed it is true that when we do this, when we press forth in full surrender…. God will use this season to reap a plentiful harvest of filled with more than you can even imagine.

Love you all!
