That’s a wrap NYFW Fall 2015! After seeing all of the incredible shows, I have rounded up some of my favorite trends from the New York Fall 2015 runways. The best part? TREND: MARSALA

This rich deep burgundy color has a new name: MARSALA, + it is coming to make a statement in full form this fall. I just recently outfitted myself in full monochromatic Marsala. See the full look here. Check out some of my favorite pieces to start adding Marsala to your wardrobe now!

TREND: HIGH NECKS

High necks, whether it be in sweaters or in blouses, were continually spotted across Prefall and Fall runways. I saw so many high neck blouses at vendor appointments I barely knew what to do. Victorian era much? I think yes! You can either go for the classic very high neck turtle neck, or venture out into Victorian times with a high neck blouse.

TREND: VELVET

Sweet, soft velvet… it looks so divine on but for some reason I am quite scared of it. Coming this fall, expect to see velvet in every shape and form. Blazers, gowns, jackets, bags, pants, tops. You name it! I particularly love velvet in a beautiful color tone like burgundy or blue [like in the top left from Christopher Kane]. But then again, you can’t go wrong with classic dark velvet as shown to the right at Altuzarra.

TREND: CULOTTES

This trend began in Spring 2015 and is continuing to remain strong through the rest of the year. Try mixing it up with different patterns, materials… dare I say even a print?

TREND: LACE

There is something just so exquisitely beautiful about lace. I don’t know how a woman could feel more like a lady than when she wears a lace ensemble. If you are afraid of this feminine fabric, I dare you to step into your ultimate feminine side + give it a try.

I LOVE high necks on sweaters. especially if I have a high bun. it’s the perfect fall staple.
