Bonjour lovelies! It has been a week since the start of NYFW and alas the fun + games are finally over. I had SUCH an incredible time experiencing the magic. It is after all… magic [in my eyes at least!]. Here is a snap shot of my last week, you can also see some of these images on Instagram.
After landing in NY from Milan, I went straight into the fun. I quickly showered and rushed over to the rewardStyle NYFW party at the Empire hotel. What an amazing time it was to meet bloggers from around the world + also spend time with my incredible friends Becca, Marissa, and Amy [all AMAZING bloggers that you should check out immediately!]

My first fashion show of the season was Victoria Beckham. Uniform dressing inspired the beginning of the show with long tailered coats with pocket details, cinched with leather belts. There was also an amazing sweater moment featuring a chunky sweater laced up the side with giant laces. Later in the show featured a huge floral pink print. I got to see the collection up close and personal just a few days after the show. I have to say, although not featured on the runway, I fell in loveee with the bubble gum, chic pink fitted dresses in the showroom. Go Victoria! See links to some of Vicoria’s current collection below!
Up next was the all-american, always incredible Derek Lam. Filled with brightly colored suede + patchwork leather. There was definitely a heavy 70’s inspiration here, + I loved it. Derek also always keeps true to his roots and incorporates classic American undertones. Overall, the show was beautiful and I can’t wait to see it up close next week. Shoutout to fashion icon’s Manrepellar, Song of Style, + Song Dani… always looking chic, + on the cusp of something new and exciting. Ran into them outside the Public School show.
On this day 4 of NYFW I chose to wear a beautiful skirt that I found at COS stores. I fell in love with this store in Milan! I am so excited because I also just found out they are opening a location in NYC at last! I fell in love with the mustard fluted skirt. See my other fav options for fluted skirts below [must have for fall].
Moving onto Opening Ceremony where I absolutely experienced something incredibly unique for a fashion show [leave it to them!]. The Opening Ceremony PLAY by Jonah Hill and Spike Jonze at the Metropolitan Theatre. They actually turned the stage into the audience so we were facing the beautiful red velvet chair masterpiece of the Metropolitan Theatre. The play featured actors like Elle Fanning, Rashida Jones, and even Karlie Kloss. It was quite the experience I must say. At the end of the play, we exited through the stage with the models and actors.. it was a mad dash [I almost asked Karlie Kloss for a selfie!]
I was also fortunate enough to go to the gorgeous Narciso Rodriguez show. His shows are always so spectacular + refined. Plunging V neck dresses, graphic color blocking, + beautiful flowy dresses with rigid angels + beading. Oh beading, how I love beading. There was also a hot pink gorgeous asymmetrical dress… I fell in love! Bravo Narciso!

On this day 6 of NYFW I chose to wear a long rust maxi dress paired with a beautiful jeweled statement necklace, + my fringe suede jacket. I just fell in LOVE with this long shirt maxi. It is the perfect transition dress. See more of my favs below that can be dressed up or down.
My last and final show of NYFW took place at Lincoln Center of course. J. Mendel just knows how to elegantly dress a lady. For his show this season, he collaborated with artist Enoc Perez. Some of his beautiful dresses showcased grid designs with intense + beautiful beading. And let’s talk about his gowns… le sigh. Dramatic pleated gowns with bold color blocks such as red, green, and PINK. The show was such an elegant ending to an exhilarating NYFW.
My last and final look of NYFW I just had to go big and wear my favorite sequin jacket. I paired it with my full leather skirt, burgundy crop top, + Alexander wang heels.
Overall, NYFW was exquisite. I get such a thrill going to shows while balancing my normal life schedule. There is SO much going on, but it is worth every second to squeeze in as many shows as possible. I find this experience to be so exciting, + rewarding all at the same time.
