Introducing, the perfect chocolate chip cookie. This recipe highly resembles the Tollhouse cookie recipe, with a slight healthy twist. I got this deliciously mouth-watering recipe from my friend Ashley when she made these in the Hamptons one night, + I just couldn’t help but make them again.
INGREDIENTS
1 stick of butter [I used earth balance vegan butter]
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of kosher salt
1.5 cups wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. While the oven is heating, it’s time to mix!
Beat the sugars and butter in a large bowl until softened.

Next, add the egg, vanilla, and salt + stir all ingredients together. Then, slowly add the wheat flour to the mixture as well as the baking soda.

Once you have a nice dough-like substance, add in the chocolate chips! [YUM!}

Then, get a large flat plan and spray it evenly with a small bit of coconut oil spray. Next, take the dough and arrange it on the pan in 1 inch round balls.
Place the pan in the oven and cook for 10 minutes, or until the edges start turning golden brown.

Now you have a perfectly delicious and semi-healthy chocolate chip cookies! [all you need is a side of almond milk!]
Voilà!
